Day 24

“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.”
-Nolan Bushnell

You have to be honest with yourself as a marijuana user that often ‘motivation or lack there of’ was an issue. With that in mind take the time today to take an honest look at your progress. Are there areas that that need a little more attention?

Reviewing My Progress

Using a scale of 1-10 (1 is needs improvement and 10 is very good) evaluate yourself on the following areas of growth.

  1. How well are you doing with taking daily time for yourself to read, pray and reflect upon goals?
  2. How are you doing with completing academic work and remaining abstinent?
  3. How well are you doing with finding activities and using your support system?
  4. How honest are you in your commitment?
  5. Are you valuing your life enough that you truly want to stop?
  6. Are you willing to go to any length to continue not to use?
  7. If you were to relapse, what would your trigger most likely be?
  8. How well are you doing with handling the cravings in your surrounding environment?

If you are struggling in any of these areas examine if it is something you can improve yourself. If you need assistance remember sources of support you can contact such as your rector, parent, University Counseling Center, Office of Alcohol and Drug Education, a non-using peer or a Self Help meeting. Make sure you are talking about your struggles. Talk with someone who will keep things confidential.
